  2. Turn right onto VA-700 (Mountain Lake Rd.) and follow up to Mountain Lake. (~ 6.6 mi)
  3. After reaching Mountain Lake, bear left and follow gravel road to parking area. (~ 5.2 mi)
  4. The trailhead is to the right across from the parking lot. (~ .3 mi to overlook)
